Overview

In March 2022, Jobcase - a social networking and employment platform for blue-collar workers - acquired Recruitology. As part of this transition, I led the visual redesign of Recruitology-branded pages integrated within the Jobcase platform, aligning them with Jobcase’s branding while maintaining flexibility for future white-label applications.

My Role
  • Audited existing Recruitology pages to decide what to retain, update, or remove.
  • Adapted Jobcase’s design system for the corporate Recruitology site.
  • Created a flexible, white-label-friendly design system variant.
  • Defined colour variable mappings and layout standards for consistent branding.
Challenges
  • Content and design were developed simultaneously, requiring a flexible approach to evolving copy.
  • Translating Jobcase’s social-focused branding into a professional corporate style without losing cohesion.
  • Ensuring accessibility and clarity while maintaining brand consistency.
Design System Adaptation

I extended the existing design system by developing:

  • Alternate colour themes for white-label use cases.
  • Modular UI components adaptable across various content needs.
  • A robust system that balances brand consistency with visual flexibility.
Impact & Outcome

The redesigned Recruitology-branded pages were created to integrate more seamlessly with the Jobcase platform, resulting in a cohesive and scalable experience. Since Recruitology’s platform already followed a white-label model, we adapted Jobcase’s design system with flexibility in mind - using Jobcase colours wherever possible, and introducing new ones only when necessary. This allowed us to maintain brand consistency while supporting future customization and partner-facing needs.

This experience reinforced the importance of designing flexible systems that can adapt to evolving content and brand changes - especially in a fast-moving merger context. It also deepened my understanding of how to balance brand consistency with usability and scalability.
